HEALTH
REVIVE

Do you wake up from a night's sleep feeling refreshed? Do you feel mentally alert; have precision in thought and a strong memory? Do you have sufficient energy to end the day as you started the day? Do you fall asleep within thirty minutes and sleep soundly?

If you answered no to any of the above questions, then a new book by Jill Thomas called Revive - How to Overcome Fatigue Naturally will provide some easy answers.

Jill Thomas, a naturopath, herbalist and iridologist, talks about the positive role that diet, nutrition, herbal medicine and lifestyle - such as exercise, meditation and sleep management – have in creating and maintaining abundant energy. Unless we are suffering from some serious health issues, we should expect to live every day full of vitality.

So why are so many of us always feeling tired?

According to Jill, there are a number of contributing factors to fatigue and often include lack of exercise, depression, dehydration, insomnia, a vitamin B complex or magnesium deficiency caused by dietary inadequacies, or multiple food allergies. All of which can be remedied and becomes a matter of making a decision to restore health and a commitment to change.

On the topic of diet, the biggest dietary mistake we can make when fatigued is to consume too many refined carbohydrates and stimulants such as coffee, tea and alcohol.

Stimulants, such as caffeine and alcohol, rob us of key nutrients and have an adverse effect on the liver and therefore the detoxification process.

Revive - Overcome Fatigue Naturally

Water should not be drunk with meals as it dilutes digestive enzymes and will also affect digestion and nutrient assimilation.
