Donna Hay's Ultimate Steak Sandwich


Steak Sandwiches with Lemon Aioli

Ingredients:
8 x 100g (3½ oz) sirloin or fillet steaks
Sea salt and cracked black pepper
4 slices wood-fired bread, toasted
80g (3 oz) wild rocket (arugula) leaves

Lemon aioli
¾ cup whole-egg mayonnaise
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Method
To make the lemon aioli, combine the mayonnaise, garlic and lemon juice.

Preheat barbeque or char-grill to high. Sprinkle the steak with salt and pepper and cook for 2 minutes each side until cooked to your liking.

To serve, place the bread on plates and top with the steaks, lemon aioli and rocket. Serves 4.
